Heroes – Boaz

From What does this world need? on facebook…

I love the story of Boaz in the book of Ruth. He lived in Bethlehem, which means ‘house of bread’. In a time of famine, (i.e. there was no bread in the ‘house of bread’) others were leaving, but Boaz stays and prospers. So how do you prosper in a time of recession? Boaz knew how to speak words of blessing. He declared the goodness of God into people’s lives & into his business. “Boaz… said to the reapers, “May the Lord be with you.” And they said to him, “May the Lord bless you”. I want a boss like that! Or better yet, I want to be that kind of boss! So whatever is your sphere of influence, whether it is family, or church, or business, or whatever, continue to declare God’s favour.

Ruth 2:4 Just then Boaz arrived from Bethlehem and greeted the harvesters, “The LORD be with you!” “The LORD bless you!” they called back..

  1. Well said, Boaz is a man worthy of moddelling, not just for his words though, also his actions. A man of Word (God Bless you) and of action (helping Ruth, going out of his way for her, helping her mother in law, giving food to both of them etc etc). Boaz is as James stated – faith shown in action. My kind of man

    God Bless
