it’s all about the journey. that has been our story for the last five years, my wife & i… it’s all about the journey.
christianity is like a road network that is safe, familiar, well used, all mapped out, easy to navigate.
but the kingdom is not like that… the kingdom path calls for mystery. the kingdom is none of those things… safe, familiar, well used.
the kingdom calls for a different type of vehicle… one that can go off-road, take risks, go off the map. enjoy the journey, not the safety.
jesus prepared the disciples for the kingdom by giving a whole bunch of clues… the kingdom of god is like, the kingdom of heaven is like… but he didn’t map it out. he didn’t define it. he said wait til you meet my friend, the counsellor. when you meet my friend, then HE will instruct you.
the holy spirit is our tour guide, gps, & support team, all built into one.
lets get a little more passionate about the kingdom journey, & a little less excited about trying to define it, understand it, or control it.
the holy spirit knows kingdom better than we do. he is way more passionate about kingdom than we are. we are in great company!
but here’s the thing… once we have spent some time off the road, there is a tendency to go back to the familiar. i wanna go back to egypt!
but this journey ain’t temporary. it’s a lifestyle.
