random thoughts, inspired by matthew 5…
You have heard that it was said, “Show kindness to your neighbor and hate your enemy.”
But I say to you, love your enemies and bless the one who curses you, and do what is beautiful to the one who hates you, and pray over those who take you by force and persecute you.
So that you will become the children of your Father who is in Heaven, for his sun rises on the good and upon the evil and his rain descends on the just and on the unjust.
this is kingdom 101… this is real basic stuff. if you don’t ‘get’ this, then you don’t see kingdom fruit that lasts.
why? because this is what the father does. his sun rises on the good & upon the evil. if you can’t align with what your father does, then you are missing the best part.
his favor is available for anyone, but it seems to ‘stick’ in the most unlikely people & places. blessed are the poor in spirit, theirs IS the kingdom heaven.
so why don’t we see this happening more… outbreaks of favor in dark people & places?
because we don’t expect it. our minds are not attuned to it. our minds are so limited by centuries of religion that we are not even looking for it.
we think the favor of god lands on good people, in church, on sundays…
does jesus really expect us to bless those who curse? do good to the haters? yes, definitely, totally, absolutely. if you don’t then you are sabotaging your own kingdom fruit.
but on the flip side, if you do make this choice… you get the joy of doing what daddy god is doing.
you will see kingdom fruit.
saints, you have the capacity to be very fruitful. & the whole team wants you to be fruitful… father, son, holy spirit. they are on your side!
but you need to align your life.
